Oh, so much to update! Caleb is such a curious little boy, he's so much fun to watch right now. I'm going to update Caleb by months, I know I haven't updated in such a long time!!!
5 Months- Caleb is trying his hardest to crawl! He won't sit still for anything, he rolls when you are trying to change his diaper and he is constantly rolling to try and keep up with his big sister. He LOVES his exersaucer (just like Devyn) and he loves toys that he can sit up to play with.
6 Months- The kid is on the move. During this month he perfected his crawling and he started crawling up the steps. Although, unlike Devyn, he doesn't just crawl right for them all the time. And he will never go up them unless you are there with him. He plays great by himself (something Devyn never did, she always needed to be entertained!). He is very content with some toys to sit and play with. He is still all smiles and giggles, everything makes him smile!! He still does NOT like to eat! And he is still waking up in the middle of the night to eat :(
7 Months- Well he is UP! And by that I mean he is pulling himself up on stuff. He loves to stand up!! No real walking just yet, but he pulls himself up on anything he can. My favorite is when he crawls after you into the kitchen and stands himself up using your legs because he knows you are making his bottle! He is getting a little better with the food. Sweet potatoes are his favorite and he likes his rice cereal at night. But he still shakes his head and refuses to eat almost everything else! He's doing a little better with his sleep, usually not getting up until about 4 to eat.
8 Months- And he's off, Caleb is cruising around on everyting now. He can get anywhere he wants and he can get there quickly. He uses the walls, Devyn's shopping cart, stroller and his push walker to go everywhere! He sees no real reason to walk because he can fly around just using everything around him. Caleb also LOVES to dance. He is so funny! He bounces to the music and he loves to clap his hands too. Devyn and Caleb will play paddy cake and If you're happy and you know it clap your hands. Devyn is such a good big sister! Always showing him how to clap his hands if he forgets to do it! Caleb's eating is still very sporatic. One day he'll eat really good, the next he refuses all food. We had to let him cry it out this month :( It's definitely time that Brandon and I got some sleep! He is doing very well.
Caleb LOVES the door stops, he'll play with them forever! He laughs and claps his hands when they make noise!
Standing up, up up!!
At about 4 months we introduced the sippy cup- He loves it- but doesn't understand you are supposed to drink out of it! He just likes to chew on it. He is pretty funny because if Devyn has a pacifer or her sippy cup, he takes off a million miles an hour after it to try and take it from her. Oh, I see many fights in my future!
Caleb got his 2 bottom teeth in a 5 months! Much earlier than Devyn, but no new teeth since. So we'll see when those top 2 poke through. Devyn had about 6 teeth when she turned 1 year
Anything he can get in his mouth, goes in his mouth!
Yes, there is a little bit of dinner still on her mouth! lol
