Easter Dress

We spent Devyn's first Easter in Kokomo with Nanna and Papaw Walker and family. Devyn was a little grumpy because she's getting her first tooth and I guess it's quite painful for her! Good thing Nanna Walker had the special touch and was able to calm her down. And we need to Thank Nanna Walker for the beautiful Easter Dress and shoes that she bought for Devyn.... doesn't she just look adorable! :)

Devyn's 1st Rollover!!!

We have been working with Devyn on rolling over and the other night she finally got it!!! It was so exciting. Of course I think my mom and I were more excited than Devyn when it finally happened! The best part was we were able to catch it on video! Now everyone can share in our excitement! Enjoy!

3 month Birthday!

Devyn's three month birthday was on Friday. It is hard to believe our little angel is already 3 months old. It has been so much fun watching her grow and develop. This month we've seen some great things!

She has figured out how to move herself around! While on her back she digs her little heels into the floor and then moves herself backwards. It is very amusing to watch because she just thinks it's great!

Just yesterday she started figuring out how to move around on her belly. While she's only made one lunge in the forward direction, she can definitely turn herself in a circle with no problem. However, we are still working on that rolling over thing. She just can't seem to figure it out!

She can hold her head steady now and she loves to be sitting up. She can sit upright if suppored by a few pillows or blankets and she is so curious looking all around. She especially loves to watch TV. Whenever the TV is on she turns her head to find it and she can just sit and watch.

I think the funniest thing that she has discovered are her hands! She just loves them. She stares at them in wonderment and then she tries to eat them like they are little prime ribs! I just laugh.

Here are some video's of Devyn! She is really becoming independent. She loves being on her back and playing with her toys that dangle in front of her.

She's also beginning to like tummy time. We bought her a little surf board that makes tummy time a little more fun! And having the little wedge underneath her makes it even better. She's really lifting her head up high!

Devyn loves to talk! She must get that from her mommy :) If you listen in the video you can her hear talking away!

Devyn had her 2 month well visit with the doctor on Valentines Day. She is continuing to grow and get big. Now she is 24 in. tall and 13 lbs. She is in the 90th percentile for both height and weight. I think she is going to have her daddy's height!

She is hitting all of her developmental milestones a little on the early side. She has just recently found her hands and she thinks they are great! She'll sit and just stare at them and move them around in front of her face. She has also started turning her head from one side all the way to the other while on her back to follow some of her favorite toys or mommy's voice.

I was very impressed with how well Devyn took her shots. The nurse even said Devyn was the best baby she's had in about 5 years! She did cry when she got the shots but stopped as soon as they were over. I think it was more traumatic for Brandon and I. She slept once we brought her home and woke up feeling pretty good. She was back to her normal self by the following afternoon. I hope all her doctor's appointments go so well! :)
