So as time continues to fly by, I thought I would update all the goings on in both Devyn and Caleb's life. My goal was to scrapbook all these amazing times and have a great memory book to look back on. But, since that is not happening I figure the next best thing is to blog about it all.

Devyn has just turned 2 years old! (I'll post birthday pics in the next update)

Things she loves

1. Singing- She sings so well! She is learning the words to almost all of her favorite songs to the point where you can actually understand her when she sings.

Favorite songs include: Wheels on the Bus, I am special, ABC's, Paddy Cake, Itsty Bitsy Spider

2. Dancing- She always says, "come on Mommy let's pokey" Meaning she wants to do the hokey pokey and she also loves playing ring around the rosie. She has everyone spinning in circles!

3. Watching Dora- Favorite saying "Oh, Man" (said by Swiper in the show)
4. Watching Blue's Clues- She loves it when they play dress up time!

5. Tea Party's

6. Taking care of her "baby" (any of her baby dolls, she totes them around and is always feeding them and giving them something to drink!)

7. Bubbles

8. Coloring

9. Playing outside and running around the house

10. All of our animals- She tells them what to do and when they are being bad. (ex. Bad Beans, go sit!)

11. Going to school and seeing her "friends"

Things She's just started doing (with in the last 4 months or so)

1. Saying "I LOVE YOU" (this is my favorite! At night she says, Love you Mommy!)

2. Putting her dishes in the sink when she is done with them- so funny- after she does it she says "I did it mommy"

3. Saying "Cheese" when someone wants to take her picture!

4. Saying everyone's name- she tells me about specific people at her school (like, Sumner and I sang a song today!)

5. Using a regular spoon and fork

6. Talking in sentences and asking questions- What you doing mommy? and when I tell her she says, "why?"

7. Naming all her colors

8. Having conversations with people on the phone

Curious George Show

Got our popcorn and we're ready for the show to start!

Brandon and Caleb- all spread out with our stuff!  There was a big snow storm tonight... but we came on out to the show anyway.  It was nice because the theater was practically empty and we had plenty of space to spread out :)

Devyn got a book about Curious George for Christmas last year (2008) from my Aunt Marie and she LOVES it!  In fact the book is falling apart because we have read it so many times :)  When we saw this show was coming to town we knew we had to take her to see it!  She thought it was great!  What a fun family event!  Happy 2nd Birthday Devyn :)

Devyn Sings the ABC's

On our way to the Curious George Show- Dec. 10th- we took both kids for Devyns birthday! Of course Indianapolis was getting hit with a major ice and snow storm!  The show was practically empty because everyone else stayed home!  On the way home Devyn was entertaining us with her singing of the ABC song :)

Standing Up!!

Caleb has been standing himself up on just about everything this past week or so! He is loving his new found skill and he's already letting go of things to see if he can stand by himself. (He can for a few seconds, but then falls to his butt!)

Devyn LOVED this table and now Caleb LOVES this table. Sometimes they stand at it together playing and sometimes Devyn decides she still loves this table and pushed Caleb down so she can play by herself!

He always starts off with his legs so far apart, he can actually walk his legs close together and get himself closer to the chair.

I put the coloring book up on the couch to keep it away from him... and out of his mouth

Unfortunately that did not work! :)

Dedication

On Nov. 8th Caleb was dedicated in the Church. It was a very nice ceremony celebrated by my family, Brandon's family and Caleb's Godparents, Sammi and Chris Cuadros.

"Hold you" what she always says when she wants to be held. Of course Daddy's always the softie holding his little girl whenever she wants!

Caleb is the blue dinosaur and Devyn's the purple one... I love the matching custome! :)
