Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday we went to one of the local churches Easter Egg hunts with Devyn. They had a whole morning of activities planned. They included an Easter egg hunt, game time, craft time and some song singing. Devyn was the youngest one there and she just had a blast. The morning activities finished up with lunch and Devyn inhaling 2 whole hot dogs! I'd say she was hungry :)

We ran out of space in Devyn's Easter basket, so we had to transfer some eggs to the wal-mart bag

Devyn was WAY more concerned with what was inside the eggs compared to actually finding as many eggs as possible. She found a good treat inside this egg!

Devyn is becoming so grown-up- or at least she thinks she is! It's hard to believe all the things she is doing. I've been amazed in the last month how many new words she is learning. I've gone from MaMa to Mommy, which of course I think is so cute. She can say Car and Happy and More and a ton of other words I can't yet understand! :) Here are some pictures of her being all grown-up.

It's about time.....

Ok, Ok, I know it's been a long time since I've updated the blog. We had a very hectic March. And Spring Break has allowed me to catch up a little bit and finally get caught up on a few things. Now we only have about 3 weeks until baby brother is born.... Devyn has no idea what is about to happen in her perfect little world. It will be interesting since she is used to being the center of attention and loving every second of it.

She now enjoys coloring, as long as she has a color you can see. She gets very mad if the color doesn't show up on the paper (those darn yellow and pink crayons!)

This is how I keep her busy while I get on the computer. She loves the laptop (don't worry, this is an old one that doesn't work anyway) But it still makes noises and she can still look at pictures

She has become obsessed with washing her hands. Which I guess is a good thing

And of course, she still loves Beans. Here she is pointing to his nose. Nose is her new favorite word and she loves to rub noses with mommy and daddy.

Our good friend Anthony had his first birthday party at Gymboree. What a great time we had! I loved all the activities and I especially loved playing on all the cool equipment and with the other kids! Great Party! :)

Here are some pictures of Devyn at the park! She absolutely loves to be outside! We've been lucky enough to have some nice warm days this spring, but it doesn't seem to matter the weather, she wants to go outside!

April took Devyn and Kaylee to the park, she is quite the little explorer. I love the pictures of her going down the slide head first! :)

15 months old!!! (well almost)

Devyn is almost 15 months old! We definitely have a little toddler on our hands. She starting to become picky about what she eats, she gets mad when she doesn't get her way and she has learned the next greatest word after NO, MINE. Even though we have a spoiled girl on our hands she's still just the cutest thing there is and we love her very much :)

She's trying to master the front flip. As of right now she gets about that far and then wants us to flip her the rest of the way over!

Singing and Dancing

Devyn has always loved to listen to music. Grandma Finley bought her a toddler MP3 player for Christmas and she is always carrying it around and "singing" and clapping her hands. Plus she LOVES to dance. April does ring around the rosie with Devyn and Kaylee during the day and when I came home one afternoon Devyn was spinning in circles and falling down. I couldn't figure out what she was doing until April explained it to me. Now she knows just what to do when we sing the words to the song

Listening to Devyn's favorite song on the MP3 player- "If Your Happy and You Know It". She loves this song! She's figured out the clapping and stomping your feet part but hasn't gotten the "hooray" part down yet. Here she is singing it and trying to perform it. Also in this video you will see that Devyn loves to use her pj's as blankets and she'll cover herself up with them... it's so cute.
