At 17 months Devyn is still a little handful! It is amazing to me all the things that she is doing. And now that little Caleb is here it reminds me of just how fast they grow and learn things. Devyn is talking up a storm, she says so many words and now she's working on putting them together. My favorite is when I ask her where something is she either runs to go get it or looks at me and says "I don't know?" It's so cute. She still loves being outside and she still loves to dance. Devyn, Caleb and I dance together everyday! She's getting in the rest of her teeth... all at once! So she's been a bit cranky lately and it's thrown off her sleep schedule which means we have two children who don't sleep through the night.... makes for some tired parents!
Some things Devyn loves-
Side walk chalk- all coloring for that matter
Legos and building towers just to knock them over
Throwing food and feeding the dog
Giving hugs to other little kids
Saying bye bye and blowing kisses
All animals- especially horses and dogs
Toys that push- shopping carts, lawn mowers, etc. And chasing our dog with them!
Building a lego tower
Her hair is now long enough to put in a tiny pony tail on the top of her head. We thank Nana Walker for doing our hair for us!
O-H-I-O- She's a buckeye, just like her mommy! :)
We were out shopping at Target the other day when Devyn spotted the bats... She ran right over and picked out a pink bat. She thought it was great!
Devyn still loves her pacifiers! She's never without one and most of the time she has more than one... like in this picture, one for each hand and one in the mouth!
Devyn has become obsessed with shoes... not just her own shoes, but everyone else's. She like putting everyone's shoes on her feet. She also likes making you put everyone's shoes on your feet. And it's so funny when Brandon comes home from work, she points at his shoes and yells until he takes them off. After all, we don't wear our shoes in the house!
He, like Devyn, sleeps in his car seat at night- hey, what ever works, right?!?
He enjoys napping on his belly
He also likes is pacifier, but not quite as much as Devyn

I took Devyn and Caleb to a community garage sale and Devyn made a new friend. The two of them colored with the side walk chalk forever!! I tried to get her to leave several times, but this led to a nice toddler tantrum! :)
I'm not sure if you can see this or not, but while I was feeding Caleb one morning, Devyn decided to take the bottle of her hair lotion and put it ALL in her hair. If you can see the right side of her head is coated in lotion. I forget that she can reach up and grab things off the table now. Child-proofing the house is taking on a whole new meaning
Can't I rip this apart and make an even bigger mess???
Devyn decided that Caleb needed ALL the blankets on him and next she's gong to add her coat to make sure he's extra warm! Good thing Caleb is a sound sleeper!
Now she is taking all the blankets off of Caleb because she thinks she should have them!
Devyn LOVES all Blankets and she wants one over her at all times. She did this all on her own. She climbed into the chair, got the blanket down off the back of the chair and grabbed the remote (because didn't you know she's in charge of the TV) You might also notice that she has on no clothes.... this is because she now knows how to take them off and she does- even her diaper!
Poor Caleb, I can't even take time out to sit and feed him, I have to resort to propping up the bottle while I deal with his big sister who has gone crazy with her dinner!
Mommy thinks she's going to pay more attention to Caleb??? Well I'll show her!
I already threw my bowl on the floor, let's see what else I can do to make a mess! :)

Hello? Who's there.... they obviously want to talk to Caleb
Let me get that pacifier for you (when she does actually try to give it back to him she is usually shoving it up is nose or into his eyes, but she is trying really hard to give it back.... other times she steals the pacifier right out of his mouth and runs away!)
Sure Mommy, I'll watch Caleb as he gets ready for a diaper change
Caleb loves looking at Devyn because she is always right up close to his face
