What's Devyn up to?

While Devyn is still a little young to be potty training, she is VERY interested in the whole potty thing. She keeps telling us when she has to poop and she likes to run to the bathroom when she has to potty. The funniest of all is that she has
to wash her hands after shes finished going.
Flushing the toilet

putting the toilet paper in the potty

Just finished her pretend potty time

Playing see-saw or teeter totter with another little boy at the park

Grandma took Devyn on the Merry-go-Round at the park. She wasn't sure about it at first, but LOVED it once they got going. She kept running back to the horseys!

Look at my big feet! And my new SIZE 6 shoes!

I'm mommy's big helper, sweeping the kitchen floor~!

Just being extra adorable
Her newest trick is to walk around with her head covered, whether it be with a bucket or blanket or something else. She loves to run into things when her eyes are covered..... I think she got this from her dad???

Caleb's 1st week

All cleaned up and looking good.... looking a little bit like mommy, maybe??

Grandma and Grandpa came back for a visit, they are also busy watching Devyn at home..... she might be too much for them to handle!
Granny and Gramps spending quality time with Caleb
Caleb's going home outfit!
His first morning at home he is greeted by big sister Devyn who of course wants to give him a hug!
Caleb, Devyn and Mommy enjoying some relaxation time after dinner
Caleb's first "sponge" bath. He hated it just like Devyn
Visiting with Uncle Kelby
Devyn LOVES holding her baby brother. She looks up and asks "see mom, I'm doing good!"
I can even help give Caleb back his pacifier

Caleb's Birthday!

Mommy greets Caleb as he enters this world. This labor and delivery were SO MUCH different than with little Miss Devyn. I started having contractions about 6:45 am, too bad I was already on my way to work for the day! (and I still wasn't sure if they were the real deal or just Braxton Hicks) Well, I figured it out quite quickly and I was gone from school before 1st period started. By this time my contractions were strong and about 5 minutes about. Because I was at school I had to drive myself to the doctors office for a labor check, which is a 40 minute drive~ That was 8 contractions I would have to get through while on the road! By the time I was done with the doctor my contractions were 3 minutes apart and SO strong. Now I had to drive to the hospital by myself! There were times that I didn't think I'd make it :) My contractions were moving right along and were 1 minute apart and 1 minute in length when I finished with admitting. I asked for an epidural as soon as I got there (I learned my lesson from Devyn, there is NO WAY I can do with without drugs!) and 30 minutes later I was feeling quite good! From the time I got to the hospital until the time I delivered I was in labor a total of 6 1/2 hours (with Devyn it was 18 1/2) When it came time to push, I was ready. I pushed for three times and then I had to be sick (an unfortunate side problem for me when giving birth) well, the doctor was not yet ready to deliver but I guess the force with which I had to vomit made Caleb want to enter the world. He almost came out on his own, on to the floor. They had to yell at me to stop throwing up (kinda gross, I know, but how it happened) The doctor didn't even have her gloves on and Caleb just shot on out, after only 9 minutes of pushing! (Again, with Devyn it was an hour and a half!)
Way different labors and deliveries, but two very beautiful babies :)

Nana and Papa, were there the whole time to give us love and support. Here is Caleb meeting Nana for the first time

Caleb meeting his big sister for the first time. She wanted to give him hugs and kisses, which is more like body slams and suffocation :)

Happy Easter

Happy Easter!

Devyn in front of our house after Easter Service.
Looking ever so cute in the dress great-grandma Johnson bought for her. And enjoying the warmer weather!

Another Easter Egg hunt! Nana Walker hide eggs all around the house. Devyn had a ball trying to find them!

She actually found this one on her own!
Again, way more interested with what's inside! :0)
After the Easter Egg hunt Devyn relaxes with Nana and Papa Walker.

Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday we went to one of the local churches Easter Egg hunts with Devyn. They had a whole morning of activities planned. They included an Easter egg hunt, game time, craft time and some song singing. Devyn was the youngest one there and she just had a blast. The morning activities finished up with lunch and Devyn inhaling 2 whole hot dogs! I'd say she was hungry :)
Here is Devyn making her own rules during game time
Again, doing what she wants (see the line on the floor? No one is supposed to go passed the lines...oops)

Walking in from the egg hunt with Daddy. What a cute picture!

We ran out of space in Devyn's Easter basket, so we had to transfer some eggs to the wal-mart bag

Devyn was WAY more concerned with what was inside the eggs compared to actually finding as many eggs as possible. She found a good treat inside this egg!
Double fisting

So Grown...

Devyn is becoming so grown-up- or at least she thinks she is! It's hard to believe all the things she is doing. I've been amazed in the last month how many new words she is learning. I've gone from MaMa to Mommy, which of course I think is so cute. She can say Car and Happy and More and a ton of other words I can't yet understand! :) Here are some pictures of her being all grown-up.

She can get on and off the horsey all by herself.
Sitting like a little lady with her ankles crossed

All done with her cupcake, which she ate all by herself. No more help needed from Mommy

Eating her cupcake

Hotdogs and carrotts anyone? Again, eating all by herself.

Sitting in her own little lawn chair and checking my text messages

Hmmm... who should I call?

Hello? I love to call people on this thing! (So if you ever get a random phone call from me, it is probably Devyn dailing numbers)

It's about time.....

Ok, Ok, I know it's been a long time since I've updated the blog. We had a very hectic March. And Spring Break has allowed me to catch up a little bit and finally get caught up on a few things. Now we only have about 3 weeks until baby brother is born.... Devyn has no idea what is about to happen in her perfect little world. It will be interesting since she is used to being the center of attention and loving every second of it.

15-month old stats
Height- 31 1/2 inches (80%)
Weight- 23lbs 10oz (60%)

Here are some pictures of Devyn at 15 months old
She now enjoys coloring, as long as she has a color you can see. She gets very mad if the color doesn't show up on the paper (those darn yellow and pink crayons!)

This is how I keep her busy while I get on the computer. She loves the laptop (don't worry, this is an old one that doesn't work anyway) But it still makes noises and she can still look at pictures
She has become obsessed with washing her hands. Which I guess is a good thing

And of course, she still loves Beans. Here she is pointing to his nose. Nose is her new favorite word and she loves to rub noses with mommy and daddy.
