What the heck!?!

Well last night at dinner Devyn really did it, she made it possible for her dad to spoil her even more! What did she do you ask??? She said Dada! How is this possible??? She spends all day with me practicing Mama and what does she say first? Dada. And now today she can't stop saying it. I say Devyn, she says Dada. I show her her bottle, she says Dada..... I have to admit though it is very cute. My one redeeming arguement is that she still doesn't have any idea what she is saying. Once that happens, she is sure to say Mama first!

I can't believe it's been 6 months! Devyn is 1/2 year old! She is really developing her personality and it's so cute to see all the great things she does.

Devyn is starting to recognize her name and whenever you call her she turns her head to look at you. Then she gives you this look like "what the heck do you want??" She has also started reaching out for people.

She loves to play and can entertain herself pretty well. I can't wait to get all of her toys and blankets out of storage for her to use and play with. (Just a few more days till we move in!!)

We went for a swim yesterday and she loved it! She was splashing around and laughing, she thought it was great until she splashed herself in the eyes and then things weren't so fun anymore! But for her first time in an outside pool she did great.

Updates

WHEW!!! It's been a hectic month! Devyn, Brandon and I have been living with Brandon's parents while we've been trying to find a house. On a few different occasions we thought we had a house and then the deal fell through so I guess those houses were not meant to be. We currently have an accepted offer on a new house and we are just waiting to close.... and we are praying that this deal goes through!

During this past month Devyn has had some fun and exciting milestones. At the beginning of this month she mastered rolling over in both directions. Then she put the rolls together and now she is rolling down the hall to get the things she wants!! She can also sit up on her own.... she's still a little wobbly but she can do it. She has also started some crawling. It's not consistent and she definitely doesn't get very far but it's still fun to watch! Although all this moving around makes me nervous! We have to baby proof the new house and now I have to be extra alert.

Devyn is still a super healthy little girl. I get a comment alomost everyday from strangers about how big she is! At her last doctor's appointment- which was last month- She weighed 16 lbs 4 oz and was 26 1/4 in. She was in the 85% for weight and the 95% for height.

Devyn has also started eating some rice cereal and she is getting ready to start on baby foods. She gets very impatient while eatin the cereal, she wants it all RIGHT NOW! She has become very good at the fit throwing! And of course her daddy is continuing to spoil her rotten!
